Brandon York

Wayne State University

My name is Brandon York, a senior at Wayne State University, working towards my bachelor's degree in Global Supply Chain Management. I was born in Detroit and have always held the Motor City in my heart as my hometown, despite growing up primarily in Metro Detroit and Flint. Prior to my studies at Wayne State, I graduated from Central Michigan University and then made the commitment to serve our country as a Missile Technician in the submarine fleet of the US Navy. After my service, I knew I wanted to return home to Detroit and be a part of the ongoing renaissance of the city. Outside of being a student, I am also an athlete for the 2022 D3 Midwest Champions, Detroit Rugby Football Club. I am excited and looking forward to all the great advancements and improvements happening right here in the D.

Anita Alkatib

Michigan State University

I am a senior at Michigan State University majoring in Supply Chain Management. My journey at MSU began as a junior after earning my associate's degree from community college. As a first-generation student, navigating college was challenging, but the support from the Broad College of Business made my transition smooth and helped me thrive. This year I'll be serving on the Executive Board for the Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) and the Broad Book Club. Additionally, I'm a Leader for our Women Impacting Supply Chain Excellence (WISE) chapter and a Peer Career Coach for the Russell Palmer Career Management Center. Being part of these organizations allows me to give back to the community that has supported me and helped me reach my goals. I'm thrilled to bring my experiences and be part of such an incredible group.
